TinyTGB IV Travel Bug

Thanks for visiting the web page for the TinyTGB IV travel bug. This travel bug was created for launch during the 2006 Midwest GeoBash. The first TinyTGB Travel Bug is made from the same fabric as the original green bag, the world traveler that inspired this site. It is our hope that our TinyTGB Travel Bugs can visit even more places than the original TGB.

Update December 2006: TinyTGB IV has gone missing from a weather-damaged cache.

TinyTGB II Travel Bug

TinyTGB IIThanks for visiting the web page for the TinyTGB II travel bug. This travel bug was created when a friend of ours purchased a green purse with a matching keychain, and offered us the keychain as a purse. The first TinyTGB Travel Bug is made from the same fabric as the original green bag, the world traveler that inspired this site. It is our hope that our TinyTGB Travel Bugs can visit even more places than the original TGB.

Update October 2006: TinyTGB II has been inactive for well over a year, having been taken by a geocacher who has gone inactive.

Our Travel Bugs

Here's an index of our Geocaching Travel Bugs.

Currently, only TeamGreenBag Travel Bugs are documented here.

TinyTGB II Ready for Launch

TinyTGB IISeveral months ago (probably long enough ago that I should be embarassed) our friend Gail bought a new purse. It was a green purse, and it came with a little matching keychain. Now, as it turns out, this was not too long after I'd told her about Geocaching and even introduced her to thegreenbag.com. So the first thing she thinks is that she'll just turn the keychain over to me so we can do "that green bag thing that you do" with it. So finally, I got online and ordered some more tags from Groundspeak and tonight Marissa and I stopped by a nearby virtual cache for a quick picture so I could log the TB in and out of the cache.

TinyTGB Launched

We launched the TinyTGB Travel Bug at the Orr Park Trail Cache on Saturday.

Lu, Rebecca and Jenni came along for the hunt. Does this constitute an official visit by the Chamber of Commerce President?

Click for Larger ImageThanks for visiting the web page for the TinyTGB travel bug. Yes, that little bit of fabric that makes up this travel bug is from a real dress! As you can see in the gallery, another (larger) green bag has already traveled the world. It is our hope that our TinyTGB Travel Bugs can visit even more places than the original TGB.

Flat Stanley

In February of 2002, Marissa's school conducted a Flat Stanley social studies project.

In true Green Bag fashion, Marissa picked Aunt Luanne to host Stanley for a visit.
