Family Friday

imageYes, I know, I'm almost a week late in updating our excursions from last Friday. It's been a very busy week...

Daisy and her family have a membership to The Henry Ford, and she emailed me a couple of weeks ago to see if we'd be interested in visiting Greenfield Village as a Family Friday activity. Her membership allowed us to get in, and to get wristbands for all of the extras for free!

Her girls joined us for the day (we spent about four hours there) and we had a great time, including our packed picnic lunch. We didn't have any bread at home, and were just going to eat our meats and cheeses with crackers until we found some awesome hobo bread in one of the shops. And we did avail ourselves of all the extras: the train ride, the omnibus, the bus, the merry-go-round and the Model T rides.

After that, we went out to see Ryan in a performance of The Music Man. This was a great show, and we were very impressed by the quality of the performance delivered. As has happened in the past, seeing a play inspired us to go rent the movie, too.

So that filled up our day. Tomorrow night, it's time to head down to Milan Dragway for our first chance of the year to see the Skinny Kid do some racing. Keith said they're going all out for 2's (6.2 seconds in the quarter mile) so it should be a fun night.
